ER09 - JOY

ER09 this year was themed JOY. It was held on the 22nd to the 24th of May with the ER09 concert held on the evening of the 23rd. This year's ER was really unique. Other than being my 2nd time to serve the Lord, it had a world renown speaker, Jude Antoine. Although I was barely there the whole time (had school activities) but knowing the feedback from others I know they enjoyed it.

This year also, other than having a youth conference, we had a kid's conference, which took half a day to complete. Seeing the looks of the children I know they have enjoyed the presence of the Lord, most importantly they had fun.

The youth conference was held at St. Joseph Secondary School Auditorium (Tan Sri William Tan a.k.a. TSWT, Oliver and I called it T-swat) on Friday. We had I think around 100+ delegates attending the conference. All of whom wanted to be revived in the presence of the Lord. It all started at the evening of Friday when the delegates registered and had a praise and worship session. Then we a small mass to begin the conference.

As for saturday, its a bit fuzzy to me, like I said I had school activities and tuition (never take tuition on weekends).

But the concert was a BLAST! For it to be held at SUPP hall was also not a bad idea. It meant that the audience would stay inside cause outside was cram-up and small. Thus people won't hang outside a lot. Well not a large number.

Then Sunday which was the last day for the youth conference. I came there round 11.30am and missed a bit of the Praise and Worship session. Nevertheless I manage to join them and loved every second of it.

Then at 2 o'clock we had the Kid's Conference. Most of them I think was 7-12 years old. I dunno what more to say about this. Since I am running out of time.

ER09 was like WOOHOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!....

next ER10 (ER Ten, kinda awkward not saying the 'O'... later we here ppl saying ER'o'10.... haha)....

I actually got somthing out of lazyness

Yes laziness, the characteristics that all people dread and wish to overcome. For many years people thought that you could get nothing out of laziness - I doubt that.

It all starter when i finished my cup of Nescafe after my study hours which is around 10-11 pm like that. Then out of laziness I left my cup there overnight. So yeah, sleep-sleep-sleep, school-school-school.

Got home, found cicak (lizard) in the cup. My reaction was like lol.

Well 1 might feel very "geli" when they see 1. I was like wow, I can now look at 1 closely and observe them. Alright-alright, I did not torture them in anyway. I too felt annoyed for awhile. Half of me was like "What the heck are you doing?".

Hafiz.

Mohd Hafiz Bin Mohd Suip or better known as Hafiz. He was an ex-student of SMK. St. Joseph, Kuching who made his audience awed at his remarkable talent on his last performance on teachers day. He sang "I believe I can fly". He was also well known for his curly hair back in school. I don't really know him that well but still he is a Josephian. May he never forget his roots and do good to his home-state also.

Because of his talent he has now won the biggest reality TV show, Akedemi Fantasia (I am not a fan). Now he has RM20,000 and a golden mini statue of the AF icon.

Good Job Hafiz! I myself hope that you'll be successful in the field that you currently master.

Now we can finally put down your banner back at school.

Tired...

Really.. I am tired... WED and THURS was school photo taking day... and yours truly was in charge... the stuff i plan did not go as well...

Day 1...

Really hard to control the class... Especially form 5... As for the A class they were super kind... as usual duh...

wat ticks me... was the thick headedness of people who wanted to be the contra in the pic... I mean wat good does that do... u r put equal among your friends... just because you crossed you hands does not mean your the boss...

Gain experience tho wen i ordered a few Form 5s to clean up... really cool... but must not abuse my powers tho...


Day 2...

Day 2 was a bit easy... cos it was clubs and society... so we dun need to go to the class and call them... we just waited for them to arrive... take their pic and we're done...

Things was easy in the morn where we did only prefects and monitors... and some other group...

as we got to the afternoon things got tougher... clubs and society was pushing in to take their pic... so instead of 2 stations... we had 3...

Good thing a manage to play DOTA b4 it all happened... lol...

so... the main trouble tat time was a number of Form 5s who escaped class jus to hang out at our area... i was super pissed off when he appeared in a few of my pics... and he is a U NOE WAT, suddenlly go and kepo join the English society group photo... so in the end i ask the president of each club to make sure that all their members are in the pic... no outsiders... so it worked... only for the president hu really nor his members... like a certain club hu their president is also a U NOE WAT hu doesnt care bout the sensitivity of a photo... in their mind its just... "okay, grab tis pic, they will sell it, buy, then show to girlfriend"... that was my point of view la...

worst part of tat day was tat it was raining... and i had a sore throat that time coz of too much shouting at students hu misbehaved... thus... i had a flu (NOT H1N1)... so now here I am sick as always...

We are not Lab Rats... We're humans... so treat us like 1

"We're gonna have 9th period next week" was the words i heard from my friend next to me. I gave me a big slap and I shouted "WHAT!!!".

I could not believe it until I ask all of my other friends. Indeed they to were taken aback and were not happy with it. Having PSK is worst enough but this is completely intolerable.

So what is this 9th period? Well it just means that our school hours will increase because certain people think were spending less time studying.

But having 9th period will not help us students but it will burden us more. Why? Well more hectic hours of school. Students nowadays will not tolerate this kind of stuff especially those who are proactive in their after school activities.

This would make YCS gatherings moved to Saturdays because the time constraint for a decent meeting. This is also because on Friday we would go back at 12.45pm. Which means muslims would have trouble praying because at around 12 on friday they would pray.

This would also prove a problem to parents especially my mum. Since we're gonna go back 1:20pm it would mean she has 10 mins to send me home and back for work. Yet the usual time for a journey from Bank X at Satok (mum work area) to BDC is 30mins and considering the jam it does not help at all.

It feels like we are now treated like lab rats. First it was to much schools on Saturday. Now its the increase of school hours. Whats gonna happen next? Well I hope and pray that the school would change their mind and next time consider to consult us first. If they want true answers than just ask the A class students. Not diam-diam there and throw ridiculus rules at use.

Whats the purpose of PTA meetings? The school can use that as a great opportunity to ask for feedback.

Another thing is that I hope that the student representitive of the school would be a part of the school and able to give his/her advices/suggestions/plain old whinning.

for now I am praying there is no 9th period... join with me ya!

darn... hope my test results would be okay... nowadays I am losing my motivation to do stuff...

Feeling tired and weak and just wanna sleep... thats how i feel... I nid sumthing to kickstart my motivation... bt i dunno wat.... haiz...

hopefully my activities will go down and i can finally focus on my studies...
